In addition to our weekly services, once a month we provide a free lunch to homeless and low-income people in our community. Beyond provide food, we share in community. Our membership sits and talks with guests through an intentional fellowship that we continue to modify to meet the needs of guests. These people are often homeless and in need of basic necessities such as toothpaste, deodorant, sanitary pads, among other things. Therefore, we try to provide, to the best of our ability, access to such articles. At the same time, it invite community agencies so they can distribute health care information and resources, including clinics flu vaccinations, heart checks, blood sugar monitoring for diabetics, and referrals to addiction programs and shelters.
ELEVEN TO MONTH LUNCHEON
In addition to our worship services, once a month we provide a free, hot meal for the many homeless and low-income families in the community. Part of our ministry not only involves feeding people but sharing a meal with them. Our members sit and talk with our guests and it has been through this intentional fellowship that we continue to modify our ministry to meet the needs of our guests. Our guests, many who are homeless, need basic toiletries such as toothpaste, deodorant, sanitary napkins, and pads, so we keep an ongoing collection of hygiene kits and make them available. We also invite community agencies to provide information about resources for healthcare and other social services such as free flu-shots, heart checkups, diabetes checks, and referrals to addiction programs and shelters.
The meal is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the following dates:
February 13th, 2022 and Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic.
Lunch is from 11:30am to 1:00pm on the following days:
